Amphibia's first eco-action at Kaj Divono beach
The new Amphibia diving club ran its first ecological action — cleaning the lakebed and shoreline at Kaj Divono beach over the weekend.

With its first organized ecological action, Amphibia – Diving 4 Nature started doing what the club was founded for: protecting Lake Ohrid through direct, in-the-water diving work.
The action took place at Kaj Divono beach, one of our favorite diving spots near Ohrid. Our members dove and recovered a significant amount of various waste from the lakebed — glass, plastic, metal — material that has been settling invisibly to anyone looking from shore for years, but which directly affects the lake's sensitive ecosystem. In parallel, we also cleaned the immediate shoreline.
The action was supported by our partners Nula Otpad, who collect and properly treat the recovered waste — free of charge, as part of our shared commitment to a clean Lake Ohrid.
This is the start, not the end. More diving and ecological actions are planned at different locations around the Municipality of Ohrid in the weekends ahead. If you'd like to join as a volunteer or diver — get in touch.
